Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technology Specialist to mentor staff and coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical devices.

The role requires at least five years of hands-on repair experience, a high school diploma (Associate's preferred), on-call rotation, and compliance with OSHA/TJC. On-site work with potential weekend shifts; salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
• HighSchool Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s Degree preferred in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts repairs according to procedures.
• Maintain inventory and par levels of all instruments and supplies.
• Follows OSHA and TJC guidelines.
• Job duties may include access to medications and related supplies.
• May oversee staff in the absence of supervisor.
• May assist with orientation and training of new employees.
