Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Engineer or Biomedical Technician to manage a broad Equipment Management Program. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, calibration, and disposition of medical devices, along with pre-purchase evaluations and capital planning.

You will collaborate with clinicians and management, support training, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining accurate CMMS records and inventory. On-call hours may apply.

Qualifications

• 2 years full-time experience as a Clinical Engineer or Biomedical Technician.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection, installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and disposition of medical equipment.
• Provide technical support in equipment pre-purchase evaluation and capital budgeting.
• Collaborate with customers and management on technology utilization and in-service education.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to secure repairs and parts; monitor vendor activity.
• Prepare purchase requests for services and supplies and assist in invoice accuracy.
