Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a skilled Bio-Medical Equipment Technician to perform preventive maintenance, safety testing, and repairs on diverse diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment. The role supports the Clinical Engineering team, ensures regulatory compliance, and collaborates with clinical staff to minimize disruption.

Qualified candidates have an AS degree in medical electronics and 3–5 years' experience, with CBET preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a AS degree in medical electronics or related field; CBET cert preferred.
• Three to five years' experience maintaining medical devices or clinical equipment.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance (PM) on general and specialized medical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and standards.
• Diagnoses problems using thermodynamic, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic methods and documents findings.
• Notifies CE Manager and Regional Director of repair status and delays as needed.
• Interacts with clinical staff to minimize disruption while completing PMs.
• Orders or sources replacement parts and completes parts requests per policy.
• Provides on-call coverage and may train other Bio-Medical Equipment Technicians.
