Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to support maintenance, installation, training, and repair of medical equipment across the facility and clinics. You'll work under the Clinical Engineering Department, ensuring patient safety and compliance with state and local codes.

With 5+ years BMET experience and BMET certification preferred, the role includes on-call duties, preventative maintenance, calibration, and documentation using the Equipment

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET).
• BMET certification preferred.
• Associate Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of Clinical Engineering and report to the Director.
• Coordinate adjustments and calibrations on biomedical equipment in a timely manner.
• Perform initial inspection of diagnostic, therapeutic and clinical equipment per manufacturer standards.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records for all equipment under Clinical Engineering.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair TVs, pneumatic tube systems, nurse call, and related devices during weekends and holidays.
