Job summary

Sodexo's Biomedical Equipment Technician II role in Willowbrook, Los Angeles supports MLK Community Healthcare, a 131‑bed acute care hospital. You will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to ensure patient care is safe and reliable in diverse clinical settings.

This hands‑on position emphasizes independent work with collaboration to meet regulatory standards, and opportunities to mentor teammates while documenting service activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma/GED or higher as required.
  • 3–7 years related experience in medical equipment field.
  • 0–3 years management experience.
  • Technical experience with repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment to support patient care.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Uphold safety and regulatory standards, supporting audits and remediation.
  • Maintain service records and analyze data trends for improvements.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve technical issues.

Sodexo seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician II to support MLK Community Healthcare, a 131‑bed acute care hospital in Willowbrook, Los Angeles. The system includes a hospital and clinics serving a diverse and growing community.

In Sodexo’s Healthcare Technology Management program, you’ll partner with clinical teams to manage medical equipment and support patient care. We’re looking for a positive, motivated technician committed to quality, service, and collaboration.

Play a hands‑on role in supporting patient care by ensuring medical equipment operates safely, accurately, and efficiently. Whether you're early in your career or growing into a leadership position, you'll contribute to essential healthcare operations, solve real‑time technical challenges, and support a mission‑driven environment where every repair makes a difference.

The role of an individual contributor within the organization focuses on completing specific tasks and projects; contributing directly through their skills and expertise. Performs specialized technical tasks to support operations. Work is primarily achieved independently, however may collaborate with a team.

Pay Range: $37.31 per hour - $48.28 per hour
