Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I for Endeavor Health- Swedish Hospital located in Chicago, IL.

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s license record check is required.****
  
  
  

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, maintain and calibrate a basic range of clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.
• Provide customer relations and resolve equipment service problems by ensuring that clinical capability is restored as quickly as possible.
• Maintain communication with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs.
• The role will focus on customer needs and ensuring all HTM related functions are completed in a quality and timely manner to include medical device preventive and corrective maintenance and other related matters.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 1 year of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices and beds independently and/or equivalent college coursework in similar capacities.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with minor repairs (preferably on beds, stretchers, IV pumps, Defibrillators, Patient Monitors, and other smaller equipment).
• The ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices.
• Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment and/or equivalent of military BMET program and/or AAMI certified
