Job summary

University-Health-3 is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment, document results, and ensure safety testing and routine repairs are completed in a hospital setting.

The role requires an associate degree in biomedical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience, with entry level to three years in a hospital biomedical engineering environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in biomedical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Entry level to three years of experience in a hospital biomedical engineering department or full service biomedical equipment service company preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides and documents preventive and corrective maintenance on medical equipment and systems.
• Performs substantial maintenance, safety testing and routine repairs.
• Complies with UH, departmental and section policies and procedures.
• Uses and cares for equipment and supplies properly.
• Maintains professional working relations with customers, staff, and contractors.
