Job summary

NCSL International is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to manage the lifecycle of medical equipment and clinical systems. The role includes troubleshooting, performing planned maintenance, and assisting with inspections.

The position requires documenting work in CMMS, supporting staff, and educating users on safe operation and maintenance of devices. Strong familiarity with networking basics and test equipment is desirable.

Qualifications

• Associates or higher degree in the biomedical technology or biomedical engineering field.
• Associates or higher degree in electronics, IT, or engineering with 1 year of creditable experience.
• DOD biomedical equipment technician training program.
• DOD repair and maintenance training in electronic systems or IT with 1 year experience.
• HTM certificate program with internship or apprenticeship.
• HTM certificate program without internship plus 1 year experience.
• Certification as CBET, CRES, CLES, or CHTM.

Responsibilities

• Manages the lifecycle of medical equipment and clinical systems.
• Troubleshoots medical equipment and clinical systems to identify problems and corrective actions.
• Performs planned maintenance per procedures and manufacturer instructions.
• Assists with incoming inspections of medical equipment and systems.
• Documents maintenance, inspections, and actions in CMMS.
• Provides technical customer support to staff and communicates status of work.
• Educates staff on safe operation and user-level maintenance of equipment.
