Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET II) to ensure safe, reliable operation of vital medical devices. You will inspect, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical devices while keeping accurate service records and supporting clinical staff.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, at least two years of equipment servicing experience, and a valid AZ driver's

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Biomedical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• OR equivalent military education.
• OR graduate of a technical program.
• OR equivalent training validated through training certifications.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing technical equipment.
• AZ Drivers License.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance, safety tests, calibration for equipment.
• Provides equipment repair throughout responsible area.
• Prioritizes work load effectively with minimal supervision.
• Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.
• Solves organization level customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervision.
• Assists in the ordering of part and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment.
