Job summary

New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Information Technology – Impacting Lives team is seeking a Technical Biomedical II to join our on-site staff in New York. This role focuses on maintaining critical medical equipment and delivering technology solutions that directly affect patient care.

Under supervision, you will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections, plus troubleshoot complex systems.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics Technology, or 7+ years in repair of complex medical equipment/systems
• Minimum of four years experience as Biomedical Equipment Technician or equivalent
• BMET Certification by ICC preferred

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs preventive maintenance, calibration, equipment repair, and safety inspections of medical equipment.
• Provide technical guidance to Biomedical Equipment Technician I.
