You will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sterilization equipment and provide advanced Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) support for high-end clinical devices.

The role requires independent work, robust technical knowledge, and regular travel to facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent HTM experience.
• 7+ years in repair, maintenance, and support of biomedical/electro‑mechanical equipment in healthcare.
• Advanced expertise in sterilizer systems and related equipment.
• OEM training/certification on Steris and/or Getinge systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for sterilizer systems, ensuring reliability and regulatory compliance.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain sterilizers and related biomedical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-end clinical devices.
• Diagnose complex issues and implement effective downtime-reduction solutions.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership to develop maintenance strategies.
• Maintain accurate service records and regulatory documentation.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Biomedical Equipment Specialist with expertise in sterilizer systems to support multiple healthcare facilities across an assigned region. This role serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sterilization equipment while providing advanced Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) support for high-end clinical equipment.

The ideal candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and optimizing complex biomedical equipment. This position requires excellent technical knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel regularly between healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sterilizer systems, ensuring equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturer specifications and healthcare regulations.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and maintain sterilizers and other advanced biomedical equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-end clinical equipment.
• Diagnose complex equipment issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to develop maintenance strategies that support patient care and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate service records, maintenance documentation, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) when needed.
• Share specialized knowledge and best practices across facilities and regional teams.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to support healthcare facilities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM).
• Minimum 7 years of experience repairing, maintaining, and supporting biomedical or electro-mechanical equipment in a healthcare environment.
• Advanced expertise in sterilizer systems.
• OEM training or certification on Steris and/or Getinge sterilization equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex biomedical systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.
