The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Hampton VA Medical Center is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) to apply engineering and mechanical concepts to lifecycle management and technical support for medical equipment.

You will assist in maintaining equipment, use test equipment, stay current with safety codes from TJC, NFPA, FDA, NRC and AAMI, and document work in CMMS according to HTM guidance. This is a full-time role with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Formación

• Lifecycle management of medical equipment and systems.
• Apply engineering and mechanical concepts to support health service delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Assists in lifecycle management of medical systems.
• Maintains medical equipment using established policies and procedures.
• Uses equipment like electrical safety analyzers, oscilloscopes, monitors and meters.
• Documents work in CMMS per HTM guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Investigates, remediates and documents recalls and safety alerts within timeframes.
