Job summary

The Richmond VA Medical Center seeks a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (Information Systems) to maintain and advance medical workstation/ server environments and clinical software within the HTM department.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate HL7/DICOM knowledge, network troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage projects interfacing with EHRs while applying cybersecurity standards.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of HL7 and DICOM standards.
• Experience with networked medical equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical workstations, servers, and networks, diagnostic software, virtual platforms, and clinical applications.
• Manage medical equipment projects interfacing with EHR or information systems.
• Apply information security tools and perform system updates/patches.
• Coordinate software patches, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
