Job Description Summary

Under relatively close supervision, the BMET I provides planned maintenance (PMs), electrical safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation, routine and emergency service on general diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, as assigned by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities And Duties
  1. 70% Performs schedule preventive maintenance PMs and electrical safety testing on non-life support clinical medical devices low and medium risk k
  2. 10% : Performs corrective maintenance, assists in installations, maintains and inspects a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic clinical devices.
  3. 5% : Maintains documentation on new equipment, inspections and repairs.
  4. 5% : Schedules and oversees third party repairs as necessary.
  5. 5% : Provides technical assistance and instruction on equipment operation to the end user.
  6. 5% : Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • Associate's Degree Field of Study: Medical electronics or equivalent military related training
  • Years of experience: Entry Level
Specialized Knowledge
  • Anatomy & Physiology and medical terminology
  • Networks and regulatory standards
Desired Attributes
  • Associates Degree in Biomedical Engineering Technology or equivalent military related training.

Work Shift: Day Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40
