Job summary

University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, is seeking a part-time, in-person Laboratory Assistant in Biomedical Engineering for 15 hours per week on the East Bank Minneapolis campus.

You will perform benchtop wet chemistry and materials experiments, assist with data analysis and progress reports, support lab supply management, and help prepare posters and manuscripts while supervising undergraduate workers as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years related experience or equivalent 6 years total.
• Experience with polymer degradation, solvent extraction, UV-vis spectroscopy, and immunoactive drugs; mechanical and rheological analysis.

Responsibilities

• 75% Laboratory benchwork: materials processing, analysis and tissue/cell assays.
• 25% Data analysis and drafting and presenting progress reports.
• Help with maintaining lab supplies and equipment.
• Assist with preparation and organization of posters and manuscripts; aid in protocol writing and compliance.
• Supervise and direct undergraduate student workers as needed.
