Job summary

Exponent, Inc. is seeking a Biomedical Associate in Philadelphia, PA, to join the Biomedical Engineering and Sciences practice. You will work within a multidisciplinary team on regulatory consulting and litigation support for medical devices and life sciences clients.

Applicants should hold a Ph.D. with lab-based experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary applications and a strong track record in test-system development, reporting, and collaboration across engineering, science, and regulatory

Qualifications

• Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Academic training in cell and molecular biology with lab experience.
• Experience building test systems for evaluating medical device performance.
• Knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology and device biology.
• FDA regulatory frameworks familiarity is a plus.
• Strong communication and publication credentials.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute lab test systems for medical devices.
• Perform technical evaluations and testing for FDA submissions.
• Support product liability litigation with technical analysis.
• Gather and synthesize information to convey conclusions to diverse audiences.
• Write technical reports for agencies, clients, and litigation.
• Publish findings in conferences and journals.
• Assist in marketing technical capabilities to clients and community.
• Develop further expertise through Exponent's consulting model.
