Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a BMET 1 to service clinical equipment under supervision at our Urbana, IL site. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of a limited scope of biomedical devices.

The position is entry-level with supervision and mentoring for advanced tasks; a basic understanding of electronics and HTM concepts is expected. A $4,000 sign-on bonus is offered for external hires.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or related field required.
• Experience in lieu of education considered for the role.
• Basic HTM knowledge or interest in biomedical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clinical equipment under supervision and HTM guidance.
• Perform installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of equipment.

The BMET 1 position is an entry level position. The technician maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of a limited scope of biomedical equipment under the guidance and direct supervision of an experienced healthcare technology management (HTM) professional. (Guidelines)The BMET 1 will demonstrate basic knowledge of the job, activity or function, needs supervision or mentoring on advanced assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $24.53per hour - $40.97per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
