Job summary

Texas Health Hospital Frisco is seeking a Biomed Technician II for the HTM Biomed team. This full-time, on-site role supports maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex medical equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, manage vendor activities, and uphold equipment data integrity while building strong relationships with clinical staff. A strong BMET background and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's Degree in applied science, information technology management, or related field; 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Military BMET training required.
  • 3 years related hospital experience with an Associate's degree or BMET; or 5 years related hospital experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Completion of Network+ Foundation Course within 2 years.
  • IT Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL) within 2 years (preferred).
  • CBET / CLES / CRES certifications (preferred).
  • Specialized formal training certificate (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Perform PA inspections, scheduled maintenance, ESI and OVP on complex biomedical equipment.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate complex equipment.
  • Inform leads of repair status and any customer concerns.
  • Coordinate activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians.
  • Maintain accuracy of equipment database including inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
  • Adhere to MEMP and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Inspect current inventory status periodically.
  • Verify security analysis for new customer equipment.
  • Perform Incoming Inspections to maintain complete inventory of medical devices.

Work hours

Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need
  • H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) And

What You Will Do
  • Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex and intricate biomedical equipment
  • Repair, install, and calibrate complex and intricate biomedical equipment
  • Inform leads of the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer concerns
  • Work with, direct, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP), including all regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status
  • Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment
  • Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
