Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Biomedical Electronics Technician in San Antonio to maintain, test, inspect and repair a wide range of biomedical equipment. The role requires performing preventative maintenance, keeping detailed service records and ensuring safety standards are met.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years in a Biomedical Electronics repair shop and preferably an Associate degree or certificate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years in Biomedical Electronics repair shop experience is required.
• Associate degree or technical certificate in Biomedical Electronics is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, operates, tests, inspects, performs preventive maintenance and repairs biomedical equipment.
• Keeps equipment records and files; processes repairs and PM checks.
• Responds to equipment issues and service requests; orders parts as needed.
• Maintains safe environment and supports performance improvement activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains, operates, tests, inspects, pms and repairs medical and non-medical equipment.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Maintains, operates, tests, inspects, performs preventative maintenance and repairs all types of medical electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and steam equipmen
• Operates patient safety equipment and understands recorded data
• Maintains equipment records and files on all equipment
• Processes all equipment repairs and PM check on all equipment
• Answers, transfers, picks up and responds to incoming telephone and electronic mail work request calls
• Makes out purchase orders and restocks parts
• Completes errands as directed
• Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
• Maintains safe environment
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities

QUALIFICATIONS

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
• PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associates Degree in Biomedical Electronics or Certificate of training from a Technical School in Biomedical Electronics
• MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years in Biomedical Electronics repair shop.
