Job summary

BJC St. Peters is hiring a Biomed Tech II to perform maintenance, calibration and repair of medical instrumentation on site. The role requires experience with biomedical equipment and a focus on safety and reliability, with a 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. shift at BJH St. Peters.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of biomedical technician experience, with preferred associates in Biomed Engineering Technology and 5–10 years for advanced roles.

  • Experience with calibration, maintenance and repair of medical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules and performs preventive maintenance, performance assurance testing, electrical safety inspections, and schedules repairs to correct failed equipment.
  • Repairs and calibrates equipment to meet original manufacturers’ specifications.
  • Provides in-service education and customer service to staff on equipment operation and safety.
  • Conducts troubleshooting to identify symptoms, define problems, compare options, implement solutions and evaluate results.

BJH St. Peters is hiring for a Biomed Tech II. This is an onsite position. We are looking previous biomed expereince. The shift is from 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Biomedical Technician conducts performance assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of medical instrumentation, device and systems of one or more categories of Biomedical instrumentation.
