Job summary

Core4ce is seeking a student trainee at WPAFB, Ohio to support research in biomaterials development and characterization. The role involves assisting across microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, materials science, and chemistry laboratories.

Under supervision, you will design and execute experiments using techniques from these disciplines. You will gain hands-on experience through bacterial culture, cloning, and analytic methods while maintaining detailed lab records and communicating

Qualifications

• Undergrad in a science-related field with solid biology, molecular biology, and chemistry foundations.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
• Reliable, self-motivated and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform bacterial cell culture and growth, metabolite purification, synthetic biology, microscopy, and molecular assays (PCR, gel).
• Assist in interpreting experimental results and maintain accurate, detailed records of data.
• Communicate research data in written, oral, and visual formats.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow laboratory safety policies.
• Collaborate effectively with laboratory staff and other personnel.
