National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) in Golden, CO invites applications for an Undergraduate/Graduate Intern (year-round) in Chemical Engineering, Biomass conversion, catalytic upgrading, and organic chemistry. Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 (unofficial transcripts may be requested).
• Internship duration up to 12 months after graduation.

Responsibilities

• Batch and flow reactor operation for algal pretreatment and chemical production.
• Develop renewable polyurethane materials for various applications.
• Benchtop wet chemistry, including sample prep and derivatization.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments (FTIR, NMR, GC-MS, etc.).
• Perform separations, including liquid-liquid and solid-liquid extractions.
• Bioprocessing scale-up activities.
