Job summary

CatalYm GmbH in Martinsried near Munich is seeking a Clinical Biomarker Operations Specialist (m/f/d) to coordinate biomarker, translational sample and bioanalytical activities across clinical trials.

You will work cross-functionally with translational research, clinical operations, central labs, CROs and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality and compliance, while supporting budget tracking and process improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree in life sciences or related field.
• 2-5 years in clinical trial operations or biomarker operations.
• Experience with external vendors such as central laboratories or CROs.
• Familiarity with GCP and trial documentation.
• Oncology biomarker experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support operational planning and execution of clinical biomarker, sample, and bioanalytical activities across trials.
• Coordinate sample collection, processing, shipment, tracking, and data transfers.
• Prepare and maintain biomarker/bioanalysis documents, labs manuals, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate vendor setup, qualification, contracting, and study start-up.
• Collaborate with external vendors, labs, CROs, and internal teams.
• Monitor activities to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Review vendor deliverables for quality and completeness.
• Maintain documentation of plans, communications, sample status, and contracts.
• Support budget tracking and invoice review.
• Contribute to process improvements in operations.
