Job summary

MSD in Rockville, MD is seeking a laboratory-focused scientist to design and execute experiments for biomarker measurements and assay development. You will analyze data, prepare presentations, and collaborate on reagent development while maintaining lab inventory and safety standards.

The role requires a life sciences degree with hands-on lab experience and familiarity with immunoassay techniques. A BS is required; an MS is preferred, with potential for bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or related area is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of four (4) years of related work experience is required, including hands-on laboratory experience.
• Experience with running antibody-based assays, developing reagents and product development is required.
• Training in and experience with Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) techniques is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and executes experiments and troubleshooting with minimal supervision.
• Analyzes data and prepares concise presentations with next steps.
• Leads and participates in general lab maintenance and inventory management.
• Monitors lab infrastructure as needed and adapts to department requirements.
