Job summary

The Department of Biology within the School of Arts and Sciences at West Virginia University, Institute of Technology (WVU Tech) invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor in Biology. Qualifications

• Must hold MS, MA, or M.Ed. in Biology or related field with at least 18 biology credits.
• Demonstrated passion for educating first-generation/non-majors in Biology with course/module development experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead lecture and lab instruction for General Biology modules.
• Travel to other campuses to deliver courses or coordinate with high school faculty in person.
• Contribute to departmental and campus service including syllabus design, lab prep, equipment calibration, and supervising teaching staff.
