Accountabilities | Accountable for assisting with laboratory maintenance and supporting Picker ISI-funded research investigating the effects of age, breed size, and cellular metabolic phenotype in oncolytic virus susceptibility in dogs. In this capacity, the technician will assist with supply ordering and inventory maintenance, culturing and maintaining canine fibroblast cell lines, and monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and biological samples. Additionally, the technician will assist with or conduct experiments, in association with other lab personnel. Specific Responsibilities may include:
Accountable for adherence to Colgate University's laboratory safety policies, practices, and procedures that ensure a safe environment for students, staff, and faculty. Accountable for staying current with relevant regulations (e.g. health, safety, care, and otherwise) and availing oneself of relevant training offered by Colgate's EH&S office. |
