Southeast Community College invites applications for an ADF approved full-time temporary Instructor, Biology/Microbiology in Beatrice. The role covers face-to-face, online, hybrid, and distance learning, with assignments across Microbiology, General Biology, and Biotechnology.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with at least 18 hours of graduate credit in a biosciences discipline with emphasis in microbiology, biotechnology, or equivalent.
• Teaching experience equivalent to 18 semester hours or 6 courses/sections at secondary or post-secondary level that applies directly to area(s) of instructional responsibility.

Responsabilités

• Instruct students in biology, microbiology, and biotechnology in classroom, laboratory, online, and distance learning settings.
• Develop and revise written course objectives, content, descriptions, and instructional strategies to keep courses current.
• Provide student evaluation, maintain attendance and progress records, and participate in department assessment.
• Maintain a positive learning environment, office hours, and use technology to communicate with students.
• Serve as academic advisor to assigned students, assist with course selection and degree planning, and refer to student support services.
• Participate in college and program activities, committees, and professional development.
