Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology with relevant laboratory experience.
• A minimum of 4–6 years of experience working in a laboratory, academic laboratory, research facility, manufacturing laboratory, testing laboratory, or similar technical environment preferred.
• Familiarity with sterile technique and aseptic technique with microorganisms.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and operational support for biology labs and project spaces.
• Prepare lab spaces, materials, and equipment for undergraduate courses and activities.
• Understand course requirements and ensure spaces and equipment are prepared for activities.
• Perform molecular biology techniques including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
• Assist faculty with design and execution of lab experiments and provide teaching assistance.
• Maintain accurate lab records, notebooks, protocols, and sample tracking logs.
• Provide students and staff with instruction on safe use of lab equipment and facilities.
• Assist with technical aspects of academic projects and grading student deliverables.
