Job summary

Lone Star College-Atascocita Center is seeking a part-time PT Coordinator I, Biology Lab to manage lab operations for biology classes. You will evaluate needs, procure materials, and ensure safe, compliant handling of chemicals while supporting instructors and students in a busy college lab environment.

Responsibilities include preparing labs, coordinating schedules, maintaining inventories, and assisting with setup and breakdown.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year related work experience
• Completion of college level science coursework
• Associate degree or higher preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare labs, clean glassware and make solutions.
• Coordinate lab schedules and communicate with instructors.
• Collect and prepare lab materials per course requirements.
• Receive, label and store chemicals with inventory control.
• Handle, process and dispose of lab waste per safety rules.
• Set up and maintain chemical inventory/SDS records.
• Review lab prep sheets for safety compliance.
• Organize prep area to keep a clean, safe environment.
• Assist instructors with lab setup and breakdown.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
