Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in specific content area; Master’s degree or higher preferred
  • Preferred: Washington State Teaching credential (or ability to obtain one) in content area
  • Annual contract beginning in the Fall

The ideal candidate will have a commitment to:

  • Possess ability to teach biology, environmental science
  • Prefered: Possess ability to teach other sciences, such as physics, chemistry, human anatomy, or marine biology
  • Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities and working toward consensus with team members
  • Structure student learning to meet Common Core, State, National, or other standards
  • Create common formative and summative assessments with department team members
  • Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners
  • Strategizing for enrichment/intervention to meet the needs of all students
  • Utilizing technology (interactive boards, one-to-one devices, google suite) to inform instruction

Compensation and Summary of Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and education
  • Salary Range: $71,548 - $139,862
