Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Biology Subject Matter Expert to help evaluate and refine AI systems trained on advanced biological content. You will design challenging questions, craft clear, step-by-step solutions, and ensure rigorous scientific reasoning.

This remote, hourly contract offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) and the chance to influence AI understanding of biology across subfields, from molecular biology to physiology.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or closely related field.
• Strong scientific reasoning across advanced biology domains.
• Excellent written communication and ability to provide structured feedback.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to scientific accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging biology questions to test AI reasoning and knowledge.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with structured scientific logic.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, depth and reasoning quality.
• Identify gaps and weaknesses in AI responses across biology domains.
• Collaborate with researchers to refine benchmarks from undergraduate to Masters levels.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
