Job summary

Black Hawk College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach non-majors biology, human anatomy and physiology, and microbiology at our Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL, for both the regular academic year and summer sessions. Courses are taught in person on campus and may include summer sessions.

Faculty member will prepare syllabi, develop lectures, and create activities to enhance students' education, and will evaluate student performance while maintaining necessary equipment and instructional

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences required.
• College-level introductory biology teaching experience preferred.
• Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare syllabi; develop lectures, discussions and other presentations to enhance students' educational experience.
• Develop and execute methods for evaluating student performance.
• Develop, secure and maintain equipment and instructional materials for classroom use.
