Qualifications

Join to apply for the Biologist III role at Katalyst CRO.

We are seeking a qualified candidate with experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or related fields to support our therapeutic programs through various laboratory techniques and assays.

Responsibilities

• Perform in vitro transcription to produce mRNA at different scales.
• Conduct RNA purification using affinity chromatography (AKTA) and other strategies.
• Carry out quality control assays such as electrophoresis, ELISA, qPCR, etc.
• Perform cell-based assays including cell culture, transfection, and flow cytometry.
• Collaborate with team members to analyze, interpret, and present data.
• Assist in ordering reagents and communicate with CROs.
• Ensure timely generation of reliable and reproducible data.
• Review scientific literature to support assignments and demonstrate technical expertise.
• Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) in compliance with company policies.
• Stay updated and compliant with departmental and corporate training requirements.

Requirements

• MS in relevant fields with 0-2 years of experience or BS with 3-5 years of industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with nucleic acid preparation, purification (AKTA), QC, and cell-based assays.
• Proficiency with tools/software such as SnapGene, Prism, FlowJo, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset.
