Job summary

Keros Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Director of Biologics Process Development to lead the PD group, focusing on complex biologics using CHO cell culture. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on oversight of process development, optimization, and technology transfer across multiple programs, from early to late-stage development.

You will partner with Research, Analytical Development, Manufacturing, and QA to ensure scalable, compliant processes and timely material production for

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field with 10+ years industry experience; or MS/BS with 14+ years in biopharma
• Minimum 5+ years managing and developing technical teams of scientists and engineers
• Experience leading process development for complex biologics (e.g., bispecifics) preferred

Responsibilities

• Head Process Development, oversee planning and resources
• Mentor Upstream and Downstream staff
• Provide expertise in CHO culture development and optimization
• Oversee upstream bioreactor operations from bench to pilot
• Drive process tech development to improve efficiency and purity
• Coordinate tech transfer and cGMP manufacturing readiness
• Lead cross-functional program transitions Research to Development
• Ensure scalable, fit-for-development processes
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Analytical Development, Program Management, Research and non-Clinical
• Experience with tech transfer to CDMOs
