Merck & Co. is seeking a Scientist in the Large Molecule Analytical department in Rahway, NJ.

The role focuses on solving complex analytical problems at the interface of biology, chemistry, and lab informatics to enable development of biologics drug substances and products. The successful candidate will develop, qualify, implement, troubleshoot and transfer analytical methods for monoclonal proteins or other complex therapeutic proteins, collaborating in a fast-paced, integrated team environment

Qualifications

• BA/BS in analytical chemistry/biochemistry or related field with 3+ years in the pharmaceutical industry

Responsibilities

• Develop, qualify, implement, troubleshoot and transfer analytical methods for monoclonal proteins or complex biologics
• Collaborate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment
• Author and review internal technical reports and sections of regulatory filings (IND, BLA)
• Publish scientific work and communicate across functions
