Job summary

Output Biosciences in New York seeks a leading researcher to advance the core architecture and training of our foundation model for biological reasoning. You will design architectures, training objectives, run pretraining at scale, and evaluate model learning across modalities.

You will own the full research-to-training pipeline, train and ship models, and contribute production-quality code in Python/PyTorch on distributed multi-GPU infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Published research at top venues (NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR).
• Experience pretraining large models on diverse biological data.
• Ability to design training objectives and scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Advance architecture and training objectives for foundation model.
• Learn across multiple biological modalities and build unified representations.
• Extend reasoning across binding, molecular properties, and function.
• Own pretraining end-to-end: experiment design and distributed training.
• Design evaluation frameworks to measure true biological reasoning.
