Job summary

DAWAR CONSULTING INC is seeking a Bioinformatics Scientist for a Tucson, AZ long-term contract. You will design and optimize sequencing experiments and develop robust bioinformatics pipelines for diagnostic data analysis.

Qualified candidates have 7+ years in bioinformatics, expertise in scRNA-seq, 10x Genomics workflows, and strong Python or R skills, with the ability to visualize complex data and convey findings to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Seven-plus years of experience in bioinformatics, computational biology or related field.
• Experience with DNA/RNA sequencing data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, optimize, and troubleshoot high-throughput sequencing and scRNA-seq experiments.
• Develop, implement, and maintain bioinformatics pipelines and analytical tools for assay development and data analysis.
• Analyze and interpret DNA, RNA, germline, cfDNA, NGS and multiomics data.
• Support the full assay development lifecycle from sequencing to production implementation.
• Partner with wet lab scientists to streamline workflows and improve data quality and reproducibility.
• Create clear visualizations and reports communicating findings to stakeholders.
