Job summary

Natera seeks an Associate Director to lead a team of Bioinformatics Scientists in Women's Health and Organ Health research. You will guide assay development, data processing for NGS, and the handoff of research into production, while managing cross-functional collaboration and ensuring high-quality data in a regulated environment.

You will oversee strategy, evaluate new technologies, and ensure production-grade pipelines with modern software practices, including CI/CD and containerization.

Qualifications

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Biostatistics, or a related field (An MS with equivalent experience considered).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Bioinformatics Scientists and oversee their professional growth.
• Own the research strategy behind new product development from scoping through execution.
• Lead bioinformatics analysis for assay development and optimization across multi-omic modalities.
• Partner with laboratory teams on study design at the research and feasibility stage to ensure data quality.
