Job summary

The Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center (TLI) in Torrance, CA is hiring a Bioinformatics Analyst II to process, analyze, and present NGS and multi-omics data. You will assemble raw sequencing data into analysis-ready datasets and prepare results for scientific publications and presentations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience in bioinformatics, genomics, or related field.
• Experience with NGS and omics analytics, including preparing raw sequencing data for downstream analysis.
• Experience with transcriptomic, genomic, and/or epigenomic data analysis.
• Proficiency in R and working knowledge of Python and other open-source bioinformatics programs.
• Knowledge of public genomic and omics databases and methods for accessing, curating, and analyzing annotated datasets.

Responsibilities

• Process and assemble raw NGS data into analysis-ready formats for genomic and other omics analyses.
• Perform quality control and evaluate data integrity and analytical suitability of NGS datasets.
• Conduct reproducible analyses using R, Python, and other open-source tools.
• Access and analyze publicly available annotated genomic/omics databases to support research questions.
• Develop and refine analytical workflows for clinical or translational studies.
• Summarize and visualize results for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and reports.
