Job description

Job Summary:

At IGS, the Site Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the construction and on-site coordination of constructing biogas facilities (mainly biodigesters on dairy farms) in Ohio and Indiana. Primary duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks, and providing on-site direction. The ideal candidate will be highly experienced in leading crews of subcontractors on multimillion-dollar commercial/industrial projects and have a positive, teamwork focused attitude towards getting projects completed. Existing Biogas/Biodigester related experience is a plus.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of a team of sub-contractors and internal construction employees.
  • Manage team and sub-contractor work schedules, project progress and resource allocation.
  • Maintain a daily log for the job site’s operations, reporting to management as necessary.
  • Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors and suppliers.
  • Create schedules for workers and subcontractors.
  • Make changes in the operation as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Manage and oversee the completion of several large projects concurrently.
  • Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
  • Daily updates to internal stakeholders on construction progress.

  • Sharing knowledge and teaching a team of employees in an efficient and respectful manner.
  • Other construction management and business-related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient with MS Office, Teams, Word and Excel.
  • Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.
  • Ability to operate machinery if necessary.
  • Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.

Location:

Our construction activities will take place primarily in Ohio and Indiana, with a strong focus in Northwestern Ohio and Northeastern Indiana over the next several years. Depending on your home location, travel and overnight stays will likely be required.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years experience as a construction superintendent.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and best safety practices.
  • Existing experience constructing CNG, Biogas, Biodigesters, or similar facilities is strongly desired.
  • Licensed to drive a company provided vehicle with an insurable driving record required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis. Unfortunately, a current or future need for sponsorship is not supported or available for this position.

Salary Range:

$94,740.00 - $151,580.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
