Job summary

The role supports students in BIOE 021, ENGR 030, ENGR 080, BIOE 130, BIOE 140, BIOE 145, and other courses as needed, fostering active learning during class sessions.

Qualifications

• Desire to enhance instruction in engineering classes.
• Interest in integrating technology-mediated learning tools.
• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student at UC Merced.
• Grade of B or higher in the course or related course for which you request TA duties.
• At least 3.0 GPA.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Awareness of different learning styles and needs.
• Ability to apply study strategies and time management in sessions.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate discussion with groups of students to help learn materials.
• Attend weekly meetings with course instructor and TAs to prepare sessions.
• Participate in trainings and a teaching seminar course.
