Job summary

iQ Biosciences in Alameda, CA is seeking a Scientist I – Bioconjugation to execute, analyze, and support bioconjugation studies across client and internal projects. You will lead bench work, interpret data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to study planning.

The role emphasizes hands-on protein chemistry, careful handling of valuable materials, and clear communication with project teams and management. Strong organizational skills required.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with ~0–2 years (M.S. 3+; B.S. 5–6+) of relevant experience in chemistry/biochemistry.
• Demonstrated experience independently executing complex lab experiments.
• Strong communication and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute antibody and protein bioconjugation reactions using established chemistries.
• Characterize conjugates using SEC, HIC, UV-Vis, SDS‑PAGE; MS experience a plus.
• Plan and perform routine pilot, comparison, optimization, and confirmation experiments.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and timely experimental records and study documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Management and cross-functional teams; communicate results clearly.
