Job summary

NAMSA, a leading independent provider of medical device materials testing, is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Minneapolis, MN. You will execute routine tests per NAMSA SOPs, handling cytotoxicity and hemocompatibility assessments and ensuring data accuracy.

You will maintain lab equipment, prepare reagents, track samples, and report results to Study Directors and QA. The role offers hourly compensation aligned with NAMSA’s pay scale in this location.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical knowledge is essential for calculations in sample prep.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Executes routine testing per NAMSA SOPs, with data analysis for cytotoxicity and hemocompatibility.
• Maintains calibration, cleanliness and readiness of incubators, autoclaves and hoods.
• Performs extraction per ISO/USP/JHMLW guidelines under study protocols.
• Communicates results and issues with Study Directors and QA; documents findings.
• Prepares media/reagents, maintains reagents and lab supplies for testing.
• Completes chain of custody and ensures proper paperwork and sample tracking.
