Job summary

Advanced Sterilization Products, a Fortive company, invites applications for the Scientist II position in Irvine, CA. You will support NPD and life cycle activities for BI production, perform microbiology analyses, and assist in fermentation development and method transfer.

Minimum 0–2 years in a microbiology lab with a Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related field; strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Microbiology or related).
• 0–2 years in a Microbiology laboratory or related environment.
• IQ/OQ/PQ and PV processes and microbial fermentation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D and operations projects related to biochemistry and microbiology.
• Analyze enzymes, liquid culture for BI production, and microorganisms.
• Assist microbial fermentation development and commercialization.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative microbiological and chemistry analyses.
• Assist life cycle management and CAPA investigations as needed.
