BioLegend, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a Biochemist to oversee the manufacture of LEGENDplex immunoassay components and kits, perform testing, and document batch records. You will collaborate with Product Development to ensure smooth transfer of new products into Manufacturing.
The role requires a degree in biology/chemistry with relevant experience and strong organizational and documentation skills, with potential for growth in a GMP environment.
The Biochemist for the LEGENDplex™ Group at BioLegend will be responsible for all aspects of product manufacturing, including planning, making and testing immunoassay components and kits, trouble‑shooting issues associated with product quality, and documenting and reviewing production batch records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Additional responsibilities include working with the Product Development team to ensure proper transfer of new products from the Product Development Group to Manufacturing.

The hourly pay for this position will vary by level, as we are open to considering candidates at Levels I or II depending on experience and qualifications. Each level has a corresponding range that reflects the appropriate scope of responsibilities and expectations. The anticipated hourly range for this role is $20.00 –$33.50 per hour. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
