Job summary

Siemens Healthineers in the United States is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Scientist to purify and conjugate proteins used in in-vitro diagnostic assays. A BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred; recent grads with limited lab experience will be considered.

Knowledge of GMP/ISO is a plus, and local candidates are preferred. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong time management, and attention to detail as you contribute to process improvements and maintain high-quality manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred; high school diploma with extensive experience may be considered.
• Recent graduates with limited lab experience will be considered; GMP/ISO knowledge preferred.
• Industrial experience and protein purification/conjugation knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and neatly record information while following established written protocols.
• Work as a member of a team to perform a variety of biochemical techniques used to purify and conjugate proteins.
• The successful candidate may assist with validation of process improvements or new product development.
• On-Time and On-Quality completion of manufacutring activities
• Contribute to stie metrics for for accuracy in batch record completion as either a first scientist or a second scientist reviewer
• Clean equipment and areas as part of each laboratory task
• Maintain personal and shared work areas in proper level or orderliness, cleanliness and operating condition
• Participate in group level lean and agile visual management activities
• May contribute or prepare change documentation for controlled document revisions
• May investigate and/or solve problems with direction of manager or skilled colleague

Perform purification and conjugation of various proteins used in components of in-vitro diagnostic assays in a regulated environment.

This is an entry level position in a Manufacturing group that is responsible for producing reagents for in-vitro diagnostic assays. The applicant should have a BS in Chemistry or Biochemistry. Recent college graduates with limited laboratory experience will be considered. Applicants with industrial experience and knowledge of GMP/ISO will be preferred. Experience in protein purification and conjugation techniques, is desirable. Local candidates are preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and professional demeanor.

B.S./B.A./A.S. in relevant field or relevant work experience prefferred. High School diploma with extensive experience can be considered.

The base pay range for this position is

$71,440 - $98,230

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
