Qualifications

• PhD with 3–5 years relevant experience OR MS with 5–8 years industry experience.
• Ability to independently design experiments and troubleshoot problems.
• Proven documentation, SOP development, and meticulous lab records.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship possible for exceptional candidates.

Responsibilities

• Design, assemble, and optimize cell-free, multi-enzyme pathways from bench to early process scale.
• Develop assays to characterize enzyme kinetics, stability, and selectivity.
• Apply DoE to develop robust, cost-efficient biosolutions and transfer to manufacturing.
• Translate results into scalable processes and support scale-up to 1–100 L with engineers.
• Contribute to downstream isolation and purification method development for small molecules.
• Build mechanistic and empirical models to support scale translation and tech transfer.
