Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Bioanalytical Chemist to support analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics in a lab setting. The role suits candidates with hands-on analytical experience who can work independently while maintaining high-quality lab practices.

The position offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with overtime as needed and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum a B.S. in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, chemistry, or related field.
• 2–6 years of experience with biological molecules using analytical methods.
• Knowledge of protein biochemistry and analytical chemistry techniques listed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform HPLC/UPLC, SDS-PAGE, iCE, CE and apply these methods to biotherapeutics.
• Run instrumentation independently including UPLC/HPLC, iCE, CGE, pH, and UV-vis spectroscopy.
• Prepare samples and standards for analysis and run instruments with minimal supervision.
• Tabulate and provide data to customers.

Bioanalytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Bioanalytical Chemist to support the analysis of protein and small molecule therapeutics in a laboratory setting. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on analytical experience who are comfortable working independently while maintaining high-quality laboratory practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing HPLC/ UPLC, SDS-PAGE, iCE, and CE and applying these methods to a broad range of biotherapeutics for early and late-stage products.
• Run instrumentation independently including, but not limited to UPLC/HPLC, iCE, CGE, pH, and UV-vis spectroscopy
• Preparing samples and standards for analysis and running instrumentation with minimal supervision
• The candidate is expected to tabulate and provide data to their customers
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment and other laboratory support activities
• Knowledge of electronic notebooks and LIMS

Qualifications

Required

• The candidate should have a minimum of a B.S degree in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, chemistry, or related discipline, and 2-6 years of experience working with biological molecules using an array of analytical methodologies.
• The ideal candidate will have knowledge in protein biochemistry and analytical chemistry, and experience using some or all of the following techniques:HPLC/ UPLC, SDS-PAGE, iCE, CE, and/or peptide mapping for analysis of biologicals including proteins, antibodies, peptides, and conjugates.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a laboratory environment
• Non-technical attributes required include verbal and written communication skills, cooperation and teamwork skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Excel, and self-awareness.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship

Preferred

• Experience with iCE (imaged capillary electrophoresis)
• Strong HPLC or UHPLC skills
• Knowledge of compendial assays (USP/EP methods)
