Pay: $25-35/hour

We specialize in calibration, repair, testing, First Article Inspection, and sales of precision measurement and test instruments, serving industries such as Aerospace, Medical, and more.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fume Hood and Bio Safety Cabinet Calibration Technician to join our team. This role involves calibrating, maintaining, and ensuring the proper functioning of fume hoods and safety cabinets in accordance with NIST traceable standards and ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate and test fume hoods and safety cabinets to meet safety and performance standards.
  • Conduct airflow, pressure, and containment tests using specialized instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including filter replacement and system inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring optimal operation.
  • Maintain accurate records, generate calibration reports, and ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance.
  • Collaborate with laboratory managers and engineering teams on calibration procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance during audits and staff training on equipment use.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in calibration, maintenance, or repair of fume hoods or related.
  • Proficiency using calibration tools like anemometers, smoke generators, and pressure gauges.
  • Strong understanding of airflow dynamics, HVAC systems, and relevant industry standards.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIH) and industry-specific training are a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • U.S. or U.S. Permanent Status required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
