Job summary

Walsworth-Eau Claire is seeking a Bindery - Operator II for the first shift in Eau Claire, WI. You will set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain bindery equipment such as Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders to meet production schedules.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 6 months in a Bindery role, and the ability to read and follow written instructions. OT may be required beyond 40 hours per week in a clean, climate-controlled environment.

We are hiring for the following full-time shifts:

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Five 8-hour shifts)

Job Summary

As a Bindery - Operator II you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment. The equipment operated includes, but is not limited to: Hunklers, Collators, 3-Knife Trimmers and Folders.

Essential Functions

• Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery.
• Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule.
• Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job.
• Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals.
• Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Follow all safety procedures as set forth by Walsworth.
• Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery.
• Assist in training new Bindery Operators.
• Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.

• Ability to work required overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.
